Welcome to Iz_Botanicals

Inside my Ikea greenhouse cabinet

Welcome!

This is my very first blog and I am excited to share this journey with you! Iz_botanicals is  an online blog and store, where I capture the journey of my houseplant collection. Here, you'll find detailed entries about each plant, including care tips, growth progress, and the challenges I encounter along the way.

Oxalis incarnata

A couple of years ago I started an Instagram for my plants not knowing how big the plant community really was. Seeing so many variety of accounts and plants got me excited and that’s when the obsession started.

I would say I have always loved a pretty plant or flower but never had the urge to buy the plant, when I did I would just hope it survived the very lack of care I gave it. Knowing I like to capture the best image of a plant I had to change the way I cared for them. I started to watch many YouTube videos which taught me that plants needed way more than just a drop of water, this then went on to me changing my soil mix, adding moss poles and more importantly lighting!

My trip to Kew Gardens

My trip to Kew Gardens

On this blog, I will be sharing my various encounters with pests, beautiful blooms, and new vibrant leafs, along with lots more exciting information about new plants that I come across during my gardening journey. :)

The aim is to create a comprehensive document that details the current health and growth status of each of my plants, accompanied by high-quality photography that beautifully captures their unique characteristics and beauty. Not only showcasing my plant collection, I will also be doing features of various botanical gardens and local garden centres to highlight their unique offerings and inspire fellow plant enthusiasts.

I will also be launching my own online shop soon, which will feature a diverse selection of photos and high-quality prints showcasing my unique collection.

Your support and active engagement are always welcome as we cultivate our knowledge together in this exciting green adventure.
